Noosa & The Sunshine Coast

Noosa Heads

Noosa is located approximately 160 kms north of Brisbane on the southern shores of Laguna Bay on the northern end of Queensland’s beautiful Sunshine Coast.

The region forms part of a close knit community and has established itself as one of Australia’s premium destinations for a relaxed, carefree life style which makes it a very popular yet affordable choice for retirement living.

Noosa enjoys a sub-tropical climate with warm summers and mild temperate winters which means that outdoor activities can be enjoyed all year round. Activities include whale and dolphin watching, wine tasting, fishing, boating, bush walking, swimming, tennis, golf, lawn bowls and much much more.

Noosa is also famous for its great shopping and fine dining with three shopping areas within close proximity to Laguna Estate. These offer an excellent variety of trendy cafes, RSL Club, Yacht Club, marina, cinema, library, golf courses, bowling clubs, boutique shops and services such as three medical centres, a private hospital, a taxi service and a town bus service. Specialist medical care is only one and a half hour’s drive to Brisbane or one and a half hour’s flight to Sydney.

Being able to easily stay in contact with friends and family is also another important consideration when choosing a place for retirement. This is made easy by its location; from Noosa it is only a 30 minute drive south to the airport at Maroochydore (Sunshine Coast Airport) which receives direct flights from Sydney and Melbourne. There are also coaches and trains which connect with nearby towns where a regular bus service will pick up passengers and take them to and from Noosa.

Sunshine Coast

The Sunshine Coast is located within easy driving distance north of Brisbane which covers a general area from Caloundra to the south, up to Noosa to the north and out to the Blackall Range in the west.

The Sunshine Coast boasts an abundance of spectacular natural attractions and lots of fun recreational activities that can be enjoyed. There are sparkling clean beaches, reefs, lakes, rivers, mountains, national parks and also lush hinterland, wildlife parks, theme parks and wineries.

Maroochydore is approximately a half hour drive from Noosa and is the business centre of the Sunshine Coast which also has an airport and a large shopping centre with over 200 specialty shops.
